Travis Sutphin is the CTO and co-founder of simpleWhirks — the SaaS suite that builds bookkeeping (Books), CRM, proposals, and tasks tools for home-based businesses and small service firms (1–10 employees). He brings full-stack engineering depth (PHP/Laravel, MySQL/MSSQL, API integration) and P&L operating experience across multiple departments. He writes about the technical and operational side of bookkeeping software: bank-feed integrations, import pipelines, schema decisions, and the tradeoffs of picking a tool sized to the way owner-operators actually run their books.
